Activities for children and young people
The College offers a wide variety of short courses and tasters for young people; from our popular spring and summer schools, through to Saturday Clubs and brilliant annual competitions. Our courses for young people are designed to be fun as well as giving a terrific taster of the exciting and diverse world of creativity. From digital arts, fantasy make-up, animation, rock & pop, textiles, 3D Design, drama and much more. Our workshops are based at the College and take full advantage of all the specialist kit in our workshops. Visit our website for more details on short courses for young people.
How we work with schools
We offer schools an inspiring range of creative workshops which we can bring out direct to your classroom. These are delivered by our talented graduate ambassadors, who will help your students get hands-on to explore a new process and express their creativity. Schools can also get involved with our two annual competitions; Young Photographer of the Year and the Brian Hatton Young Artist Competition. The College also hosts the annual Schools Expo -a big exhibition celebrating the creativity of county schools. The College works in both primary and secondary schools, across all age groups.
What are our costs
We suggest a charge of around £25 to cover our transport costs and materials. Some workshops, such as masterclasses and full day workshops are priced separately.
